Create 2D Floor Patterns

A new tool that allow you to get good looking patterns for floors with sub elements in plan views. The tool creates a filled region with a pattern in floor plans based on the floor boundary. The filled region cover the pattern on the sub elements on the floors. There is no need to try to manually rotate and align the pattern on the sub elements.

The main features of this tool are:

• Simple and fast creation of floor filled regions
• Possible to inherit pattern from floor or choose another pattern to use
• Supports updating the filled region after floor boundary is changed
• Supports automatic update of filled regions across views
• Supports showing/hiding regions in current view

Changes are available both in 2019.1.7 and 2020.1.1 if not otherwise stated in headlines.

New look on most general tools

We continue changing the dialog boxes in our tools to a new and unified look.

In this release the following tools have a new look:

 
Edit Parameters

We have made a few adjustments:

• Family parameters with same name are now displayed in one column if they have same type and belong to same group even though they are not shared parameters
• Update parameters button is enabled when changing values using search and replace tool
• Improved stability when switching between instance and type

Filter Elements (2020.1.1)

We have optimized the way Filter Settings are saved in the project to avoid issues with saving many settings in big projects.

Project Cleanup (2020.1.1)

We have replaced the parameter used for purging “checked” views and sheets; parameter NVDoNotPurge is now used instead of NVPurge.

The NVDoNotPurge parameter is created, if it doesn't exists, when starting the tool. The NVPurge parameters is deleted when purging the project. You will be notified the first time you run the project cleanup in an existing project if “checked” options is used.

Edit Sheet Parameters

We have improved the support for pre-selecting sheets in project browser.
