NEW! Compound Layer Tagging (2021.1.3)

Report layer information on Revit elements.

It is now possible to get the layers of elements from Structure Assembly Material dialog and show them in a tag. The layer information is stored in a parameter on the elements that can be updated after you have made changes on the layers of the elements.

The main features of this tool are:

  • Easily write the layer data to a parameter and use in a tag
  • Simple and quick way to update the tag data after element modification
  • Possibility to select any multi-line or text parameter to which you want to write the layer data

NEW! Align Profile (2021.1.3)

Align toposurface using a Cross Section and Length Profile along a chain of lines.

A new tool that allow you to align a toposurface by using a Revit profile which may represent a ditch, ridge, swale or road profile and also define the slope in a section view.

The main features of this tool are:

  • Precise modification of the terrain slope along the selected path of chain of Lines
  • Possibility to use a Revit profile as a shape for toposurface alignment
  • Possibility to use Existing and New toposurface as a reference for alignment
  • Supports snapping to grid or toposurface section
  • Possibility to revise and update the terrain slope after applying the changes

Align Topo (2020.1.8 and 2021.1.3)

Define alignment level of detail when aligning to curved and round-shaped elements.

You can specify the Detail Level to affect the number of points that will be created on the toposurface when aligning to a curved-shaped element.

Bug fixes

We have fixed the following issues:

  • Alignment tools: Fixed issues when elements or sub-elements are hidden in the View template or in 3D view by Section boxes, View Filters or Phase Filters
  • Cut&Fill: Fixed issue of internal points not being projected to the cut plane
  • Align Topo/Floor: Improved how internal points are projected on a surface. Now you are able to choose if you want to project only perimeter points or also internal points
  • Tool controls and tooltip descriptions: Improved the description of tool controls and tooltips
  • Ui ribbon: Improved the display of the ribbon when using lower resolution

NEW! New Project (2021.1.3)

Create a project using latest version of template file from Naviate Content Cloud or your own templates on  Disc.

Use Naviate New Project tool to download and use latest version of Naviate templates. You can also select from any configured template on your computer (configuration is made in File -> Options -> File Locations). By default, Naviate New Project dialog box is used when creating a new project in Revit but you can choose to use the built-in Revit function as well.

You can also download a Naviate Cloud template by right-clicking on the name in the list. Chose name and location of where to store it.

The tool is also available from Naviate Ribbon.

NEW! Classification (2021.1.3)

Classification of building elements using selected standard.

Use the Classify tools in Naviate to select what Classification Standard to use in your project and assign classifications codes to building elements. The tools automatically create and assign values to the correct parameters for selected standard and it is easy to find appropriate class to use.

Currently mainly Danish standards and the new CCI (Construction Classification International) standard are supported but additional standards will be added independently from Naviate releases.

Selected Standard are saved in the project. Some Standards support multiple languages. You can use any of those languages to search for codes to use. Selected language is used for storing data such as Class Names.

You can change standard in a project. Parameters from previous standard are kept and new parameters are created as you classify elements.

Use this tool to assign a class code to building elements of a certain category one by one in a view.

Parameters defined by the configured standard are automatically created and set on Type or Instance depending on what you have selected.

Help and Knowledge platform (2021.1.3)

Easy access help and tutorials within Naviate knowledge platform.

We have moved all help pages to our Knowledge Platform (Pinnacle Lite for Naviate) to have all information about Naviate, Revit and other related applications in one place for easy access. You will also find videos for many Naviate features within the knowledge platform.

In order to access the Knowledge platform, you need an account to Pinnacle Lite for Naviate. Read more on how to get access here

When logging in to Pinnacle Lite using your account you will be redirected to Symetri Europe SSO login where you can connect the Pinnacle Lite account to your Symetri Europe account or create if you don’t already have it. Read more about Symetri SSO here.

When using F1 key while hovering a tool in a Naviate application you are now directed to a help page in the Knowledge Platform.

You can also access Help from the main dialog box in each tool by clicking on the Info icon and the Help-link. The help page is opened within a Naviate Web Viewer dialog box instead of your default internet browser.

Edit Parameters (2020.1.8 and 2021.1.3)

It is now possible to select other linked or opened Revit Projects to view Types to compare the projects. It is also possible to copy parameter values from a linked or opened project to Types in the current project.

Chat Support (2021.1.3)

Contact support at Symetri via live chat. Requires a Naviate Premium support service level. Read more about the Naviate support levels here.

The Live Support tool (was Live chat) has been updated to make it easier to contact us. The tool has a new User Interface and run within Naviate; no external browser is started.

To use the Live Support you have to login using our new Symetri Europe account if not already logged in. If you have an account for Naviate.com you can use the same email and password.

If you don’t have an account, you can create one. Click on Sign Up and enter your information. You will receive a verification email. Click on the link in the email to verify your account.

The Symetri Europe account you create can be used for Naviate.com, Naviate Ideation Portal and other services within Symetri.

Once you have logged in the Naviate Web Viewer will show the Live Support page and you can start chat with us.

The Email Support tool has been updated to make it easier to contact us. The tool has a new User Interface and run within Naviate; your email software is not started to send the email.

To use the Email Support tool, you have to login using our new Symetri Europe account if not already logged in. If you have an account for Naviate.com you can use the same email and password. See Live Support above.

Once you have logged in the Naviate Web Viewer will show the Email Support page. Enter a Subject and Description of your problem. You can also attach images, like screen captures, to the email.

Cloud Browser (2021.1.3)

Improvements related to loading of more families to show.

Images for the first found families are now immediately displayed so you can start examining them while the rest are loading. The control for how many images to load each time you press “Load more” has moved to the bottom of the list view.

Unhide Elements (2020.1.8 and 2021.1.3)

Examine the elements that was revealed in the view.

All elements that are “unhided” by the tool are now selected and displayed in Property Palette so you can see and examine them. Or hide them again.

Bug fixes

We have fixed the following issues:

  • Filter Elements: Fixed an issue causing "XML Error" when starting the tool for some users in some projects
  • Filter Elements: Fixed an issue with Filter Settings not showing nodes as selected if parent node was not selected
  • Color Elements: Now parameters that only exists on some elements are available in the drop down and can be used for coloring
  • Edit Parameter Values: Fixed issues with pasting one cell into multiple cells
  • Edit Parameter Values: Fixed issues with tool hanging when sorting columns after editing of cells
  • Transfer Calculated Values: Fixed issue with work-sharing error message when using the tool in non work-shared project. (2021.1.3)
  • 3D Zone: Fixed issues with Entourage elements
  • Edit Sheet Parameters: Fixed issues with copy & paste to multiple cells
  • Update Sheet Format Parameter: Added back possibility to select what Parameter to read from Title Block (2021.1.3)
  • Provision for Voids: Improvements for curved Walls
  • Log files: Most log files create by Naviate tools are now places in %temp% folder again

 

Affects all Naviate for Revit products on 2021

We have encountered an issue with our latest Naviate update 2021.1.3. You are not able to start new BIM 360 project – using "Collaborate” for Revit. The same goes for linking files, using “Link Revit – External Resources”
