Updates in Naviate Simple BIM 11.0.3 Highlights includes several enhancements and bugfixes done. Several that has been critical for customers using infra models.

Enhancement

Simple BIM 11.0 SR2 (8.8.2025)

  • Support for IfcEarthworksCut added
  • Support added for running dataflows from the command line. The possibilities are:
    • Simplebim11.exe <import file> <dataflow file>
    • Simplebim11.exe <import file> <dataflow file> close
    • Simplebim11.exe <import file> <dataflow file> <export file>
    • Simplebim11.exe <import file> <dataflow file> <export file> close
  • Add or Modify Group -tool now respects the Parent Group -setting when looking for existing groups in the model
  • Small improvement in French translation
  • List of groups support added for Target selections in dataflow and tool configurations. Use "Custom" and the following syntax: group-name:"Group 1","Group 2","Group n"
  • Names of several installed dataflows improved for consistency and clarity
  • Dynamic names taken into use in dataflow names where possible and applicable
  • Option to specify surface name added to dataflows for deriving space surfaces
  • Option to specify group category added to dataflows for generating groups 

Fixes

Simple BIM 11.0 SR2 (8.8.2025)

  • Critical bug fixed in exporting new IFC4.3 spatial containers (Road, Bridge, Road Part etc.) to IFC
  • Improved releasing Windows system resources because in some complex dataflows the resources run out which lead to unpredictable errors.
  • Bug fixed in reporting Windows OS version in About dialog. Was reporting version 11 as version 10.
  • Bimsheet: bug fixed in reading Bimsheets that show Group Category data
  • Model Splitter: bug fixed that was in some cases leaving the original objects in addition to the new split objects when the location prisms were merged in  the same session and the split objects had both 3D and 2D geometry
  • Bug fixed in maintaining configuration when a dataflow with only one step is opened in the Dataflow palette
  • Bug fixed in adding an 'ungrouped group' using the 'Add or Modify Group' -tool
  • Bug fixed in copying properties other than the name of a group to objects in the group
  • Bug fixed in exporting the predefined type property for spaces in IFC4 and IFC4.3 models
  • Bug fixed in adding new building storey in the Containment palette when 'Hide empty containers' is on and Trimmer Mode is off. Now the newly added empty building storey stays visible until the next refresh.
  • Bug fixed in moving 3D objects between viewports. The visual transformation was not always correct.
  • Enhanced bounding box calculation. In certain situations, the calculation failed.
  • Length calculation added for Pipe Segment objects in the Add Basic Quantities -dataflow
