Release news Naviate for Civil 3D

Naviate Landscape 2024.1 release

Updates in Naviate Landscape. New feature includes Units and Templates, Min/Max Multi Surface and improvements include Line style library and Add schedule.

Changes are available in 2024.1 and 2023.11

Units and Templates

In this version we have changed how Naviate handles default values and templates. Default values now depends on the template that you are using. When using functions that require styles, the function itself will import the required styles. To learn more about how this works, please see this blog post.

Min/Max Multi Surface

The new command MinMax Multi surface has replaced the old Min/Max surface. This new command can create Min or Max surfaces from multiple surfaces and also combine it with other surfaces. The command can be run in a drawing to create the surfaces or it can create a script to be run outside of Civil 3D. The same command can be run to rebuild or update an existing Min/max surface. The old command is still available as NVMinMaxSurface.

Line Style Library

A new function for Rotate Hatches has been added.

Now includes Transparency as a setting in the CSV.

Add Schedule

The schedule can now optionally add a leader.

Fixes

  • Measure Fixed an issue where the units of the block were not used.
  • Extrude Fixed an issue where the units of the block were not used.
  • Extrude Fixed an issue where if the profile was not Closed, the command gave an erroneous error message.
  • Extrude Fixed an issue where if the solid was created with an offset, Update Solid moved it further.
  • Add Featureline Labels If no Naviate labels are present in the drawing, the commands will import required labels from the template specified in the file NVImportStylesAndSettingsFileName.txt.
  • Line Style Library Fixed an issue where the command sometimes crashed if an Xref was in the drawing.
  • Add Schedule Fixed an issue where the schedule was placed on the active layer instead of layer from General Note.
  • Sub Surface Fixed an issue where Sub Surface calculates the wrong bottom slope.
