Release news Naviate for Civil 3D

Naviate Traffic 2024.1 release

Updates in Traffic. Improvements includes Units and Templates, Direction sign, Copy properties and Markings.

Changes are available in 2024.1 and 2023.11

Units and Templates

In this version we have changed how Naviate handles default values and templates. Default values now depends on the template that you are using. When using functions that require styles, the function itself will import the required styles. To learn more about how this works, please see this blog post.

Direction Sign

The command now uses a layer list for the layers used for the Background, Frame, Arrow, Text and Plate. Layers need to be present in the drawing and in the layer list to be used in the command.

Naviate Traffic License

Copy Properties and Properties from Attribute now run on a Naviate Traffic License.

Markings functions

The Markings functions has been updates with a seperate Projection Layer for the 3D objects in the markings. This can be stored in the individual templates for each line marking. If there is no projection layer stored in the template, then the projection layer in the GenereicSettings.JSON is used.

The Markings functions now have a preview! The preview is default on for Line and Cross marking and default off for Area Markings.

Fixes

  • Area Markings Fixed an issue where the Area Markings hatch used the wrong layer.
  • Sign Holder Manager Fixed an issue where if the bottom elevation of a sign was changed in Sign Holder Manager, then the elevation calculation was wrong.
  • Line marking Fixed an issue where when a Line marking was created, an Edit-template was created of that line marking.
  • Cross marking Fixed an issue where the angle between objects in Cross markings was calculated wrong.
